WORKLY

Launching soon

Privacy.

Workly is a New Zealand job board that hasn't launched yet. Right now the only thing this site does is collect an email address so we can tell you when we open. This page explains what happens to it, in plain language.

Last updated 6 August 2026

What we collect

Your email address, and only if you type it into the waitlist form yourself. We don't ask for your name, phone number, CV, or anything else, and there is no account to create.

We also store a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of the internet connection you signed up from. It can't be turned back into your IP address; we keep it purely to stop bots flooding the waitlist.

Finally, we collect anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics — pageviews, rough location by country, and how quickly pages load. These use no cookies and cannot be traced back to you, which is why this site has no cookie banner.

Why we collect it

To send you one email when Workly opens. That's the whole reason. We won't add you to a newsletter, drip-feed you marketing, or email you about anything unrelated.

You'll get one other email first: a note asking you to confirm your address. We do that so nobody can put your address on our list but you. If you don't click the link, you never hear from us again.

Where it's stored

In a private database hosted by Supabase, locked so that only our own server can read or write it. We use Resend to actually deliver the two emails described above. Both are reputable providers, and neither is permitted to use your address for anything else.

Your address is never sold, rented, traded, or shared with employers, recruiters, advertisers, or anyone else.

How long we keep it

Until launch, plus a short window afterwards in case the first email fails to arrive. After that the waitlist is deleted. If you ask us to remove you sooner, we'll do it right away.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@workly.co.nz and we'll sort it out. There's no form to fill in and no hoops to jump through.

If you think we've mishandled your information and we haven't put it right, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

Changes to this page

When Workly launches properly we'll be collecting a lot more than an email address, so this page will be replaced with a fuller privacy policy. We'll date any changes at the top.
